EXPLORATION WORKSHOP

As part of the Warmikuna Valdivia program, the workshop 'The bodies we inhabit', organized by the Casa del Alabado Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and the Yama Collective, explored the memory of the bodies that contemporary women inhabit at different stages of their lives and the relationship they maintain with the cycles of the earth.

Through a sensitive approach to pre-Columbian art, the workshop explored the Valdivia figures through theatre and bodywork to experience female rituals from a contemporary perspective. Thus, this initiative sought to encourage activities and dialogues around the Valdivia figures with the aim of providing them with new meanings and senses.
